A New Earth Awakening To Your Life's Purpose is probably the best book I have ever read, and I have read plenty! It deserves at least five stars. I did not want for it to end and I will be reading it again several times over. It is not only life changing as you awaken to your life's purpose, but has the power to improve, and quite possibly save our planet. Oprah has been promoting this book in her book club. She calls this "her boldest choice yet". She is also conducting a free online class with the author, Eckhart Tolle, based on the knowledge given in his book. So far this has been was one of the largest single online events in the history of the Internet. More than 500,00 people (139 countries) logged on last Monday for its debut.
Tolle is the author of the million selling "The Power Of Now" and "Stillness Speaks" According to his website, he advocates "transending our ego- based state of consiousness" is a prerequsite not only for your personal happiness but also for the ending of violent endemic on our planet. This is the next Evolutionary Era, we are at a crisis point. If there is no shift in consciousness, we will go downhill quickly. We wil destroy ourselves and the planet.
I only hope my writing abilities can give this book the justice and integrity of which it deserves.
As you read through A New Earth, you will discover many "aha" moments, as Oprah calls them. The pages will lift your spirit in ways you never imagined. They will touch you with the most powerful meanings as you finally understand why there is so much unhappiness, and what can be done about it.
The concept of which this book was written is finding and awakening your inner spirit. You have the power to do this, though you must want it and be ready for it. Observe that you are not your thought process, be aware of what your mind is saying and realise that is not who you are.
It requires discipline in changing your thoughts, and view of the world around you. By living in the now is how our consciousness speaks to us, the stillness of life. Becoming friendly with nature, the universe, and everyone around us. In the Old Testament it is written, "Be Still and Know That I am God". By becoming one with nature is how you recognize it in youself. When you sense the stillness, your mind is no longer operating. No matter how much madness is in your life, "you are more alert when you are not thinking".
"Stillness is Spirit".
Being in the moment; the power can only flow to you when you are present. We live our lives in the next moment. For example, when you shower in the morning your mind is already at the office. By living from one moment to the next, we miss the present. Therfore, we never recognize the Power of Now.
