In a ever-changing business world, its essential to flow through change. Most changes occur as a result of restructuring of the business and /or launching of new products. It can even result of meeting customers need or a new boss...
For many employees, change may be devastating, almost to the point where you no longer desire to come to work and or seek employment elsewhere. Many people prefer to hang on to the "old way" of doing things, because it provides routine and comfort. Often we tend to hold onto the old way even though a new way is easier and provides greater benefits for us and the business and our customers. For these reasons good management holds the key. Through proper training of us to make successful in our jobs. Here is my point of view to "Getting Employee "Buy-in" to the company they work for.
When we are able to see a personal benefits we are more likely to "buy-into" the concepts being taught. When we feel confident with the new procedures, we are more willing to change. Giving us proper training can help us implement change and achieve success. A great training program will minimize overwhelming feelings while encouraging us to stay with the company and reach a new comfort zone.
Often the manner in which Managers or trainers present change affects whether or not we accept the change. Change will occur easier within the business if management incorporates the following elements into the training program...
1. Discuss current practices.
2. Explain the reason for the change - employee's want to be informed
3. Demonstrate how the change will benefit employees (WIIFM)
4. Listen to concerns and ideas.
5. Explore goals and envisions results together.
6. Offer people a chance to practice in a environment away from the business.
7. Invest time to properly plan and implement change.
8. Praise, recognize and reward us who adopt change the best.

See we are simply employees not looking for a lot of bells and whistles just want to do our job to a satisfaction for the company and our selfish.
So I guess the last part of change is for management is to recognize us the backbone of the business successes and show us appreciation for the willingness, commitment and hard work we do for the company.
