Facing off is something we all do in some small way or another. Facing off is confrontation filled with anger, one of the most negative emotions available to us. While some have only imagined it and others may have actually acted on it, facing off is something we must learn not to do. After all, anger is an emotion full of fear and, therefore; is not the right way to create our happy reality.

Whenever we wish to fight with someone or just snap at that person, we are coming from a place of fear. Fear within yourself to be precise. Suppose that someone starts talking to you about politics. You believe very strongly in your point of view and the other person believes very strongly in their point of view. At first the discussion is very civil and you both discuss your viewpoints like proper human beings. Suddenly you both become angry with each other and suddenly you don't know how you've gotten so angry that you are shouting. Now what you may have thought happened is that you were yelling at that person for the ignorance they were displaying. Really you are yelling at that person for the ignorance you fear inside of yourself.

There is a simple solution for curving this. When you feel yourself getting angry recognize the anger for what it really is and put love towards that thought. Remind yourself that you love this person and that the conversation is not that important that you want to ruin your friendship. Eventually as we teach ourselves to do so, we will become much more peaceful and happy.

Now, we must also realize that there are times we must bring certain things to the attention of other people. These are the important things in life that we must once and awhile make others aware of. It does not mean that we should be hostile when bringing things to the discussion table or that we should be prepared for the worst. Level headedness and understanding are a couple of the two things we must keep in mind when talking. If the other person is irrational and not understanding to this issue that is very important to you, than maybe that person should not be a part of that particular situation within your life. We must realize that we love that person for who they are, but we must also realize what parts of life they do belong to. We all deserve our lives to be free of sadness, anger, and fear. On the same accord we deserve happiness, joy, and excitement. Follow our hearts while finding our heads is the motto of the day.

No one likes the feeling of being angry and when we remember how to put love in the place of that which causes sadness, we will find love open to us in so many different areas of life. Peace and happiness are those things which are ours to possess. Sharing it with the world is just a wonderful side effect. It starts within ourselves, so let's let the anger go and give it a try.
