Be careful about the notes you leave for the regular teacher. Be objective. They feel the same way about their class as you do about your child. If you must leave messages about students who misbehaved, state the facts. Do not editorialize. Do remind your students that their teacher will receive a full report on their progress and behavior. If your class was exceptional, leave a note to that effect. Teachers love to know when their class deserves something special.
