People have some strange techniques for cleaning a kiwi. What works for a pineapple does work for everything. Here is the best method.

Things You’ll Need:
- Kiwi Fruit
- Table Spoon
- Serrated Knife
- Kiwi Spoon (optional)
- Towel (optional)
Step 1:
Slice: Using a sharp, serrated knife, slice the kiwi in half. Slice it on the widest side so you don’t have to mess with the belly button when you are scooping the flesh out.
Step 2:
Scoop: Slide a large table spoon into the kiwi between the skin and the flesh. If the kiwi is ripe enough, this will be easy. Using a circular motion, slide the spoon around the edge of the skin to release the fruit from the edge of the skin.
Step 3:
Removal: At this point, the kiwi may be completely removed from the skin. If not, turn the skin inside out and using the spoon or knife release it the rest of the way. With practice, the kiwi can be remove from the skin in 2 pieces.
Step 4:
For Hard Core Kiwi Eaters: If you really love your kiwi, invest in a kiwi spoon. This makes the process much smoother. It operates the same as listed above.
- Work over a towel so that you do not make a mess with the small amount of juice you will lose.
- Practice makes perfect.
- Don’t cut yourself with the knife. It hurts.
