That new bikini would look hot only if paired with great looking
skin. So before you bust out to the sun and hit the beach this summer,
protect your skin with these friendly tips:
SCREEN OUT THE SUN.
A toned and tanned body is great during summer but be sure to put sun
protection first. Overexposure to the sun’s ultra-violet rays leads to
premature aging, rough leathery texture, freckle-like sports or even
skin cancer. Use a good sunscreen. Check the Sun Protection Factor
(SPF) to determine the level of protection your sun block gives.
COVER UP.
Wear light-weight and bright-colored clothing to keep yourself cool
under hot weather. Try the hottest summer fashion and wear more vibrant
shades. Sport that funky hat or bandanna before racing to the beach.
This way you’re not only fashionable, you also get the sun protection
you need.
SIZZLE. But not with sunburned skin. Try to stay under the shade between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm when the sun’s rays are most intense.
SOAK IT UP.
Sun and heat can make your skin dry. So be sure to rehydrate! Drink
lots of liquids and moisturize your body with lotion everyday. You can
also spritz your skin with mineral water to keep it moist.
SCRUBBY-DUB.
Scrub away rough and dead skin and let yourself glow. Sloughing makes
the complexion more radiant, youthful and healthy-looking. Popular
exfoliants include sponges, bath pads or even wash cloths. Just be sure
to do it lightly to prevent skin irritation.
SUMMER SMOOTHIES.
Nothing beats a healthy diet when it comes to skin care. So be sure to
drink lots of milk and eat lots of veggies. Carrots and tomatoes are
effective skin enhancers. Juice ‘em up and concoct a summer cocktail to
give your skin a fresh glow.
SWEAT IT OUT.
Exercise regimen will not only keep your body fit but your skin too. It
helps your body get rid of toxins and promote a healthy complexion.
Take the chance to exercise this summer.
