Why is it people like to butcher our Constitution when they have never even read it?

I always hear people saying things about the Constitution and they always mess it up right from the get go.  They say "the Constitution of the United States."  Well this is kind of scary that they are quoting something and they don't even know the preamble of the very document they are quoting.  The preamble, you know the very first part of the Constitution says (in part) ...ordain and establish this Constitution for The United States of America.  Constitution FOR, not of, it couldn't have been of because it was there to be a part of.  The American Union made this document for the federal government when they created it.  Before this there was no central government, even after this the central government had to deal with only certain specific issues.  Back when the Union was formed there was no income tax, no social security, no F.I.C.A. or any other groups like this.  The one that was in charge of your State was your Governer.  It State was intended to be free and independent (as stated in the Declaration of Independence) and so each State operated it's affairs as it seen fit. The federal government was there for certain things such as forein commerce and other issues on a much larger scale that would effect the whole Union.

Something that is interesting to note is back then the words State and Country were interchangeable.  Even today you will sometimes hear on the news people referring to countries and using the word State in its place.  This is also why the preamble of the Constitution says (in part) ...in order to form a more perfect Union.  The States or Countries were a Union of States, that is to say that they were seperate Countries in how they handled thier affairs and what not but were still all on the same wave length.

At one point certain members from the States gathered together to come up with something to handle international affairs and other certain things.  So these men drated up a document for that purpose.  They agreed on it (after a few differences in opinions were settled) and signed it to create a Constitution FOR The United States of America.

I could ramble on for days about this subject but I think I have bored everyone for long enough.Thank you for reading.
