Recently I found myself in need of some cash, money, liquid and right away. I'd lost my job, the car payment people were calling, the insurance people were calling, the butcher, the baker, the landlord, the housewife...okay, so I digree. But the truth of the matter is, I needed cash and right away.
I began to compile a list of ways to make money in the big apple (or any other major city). While they do not require a financial investment, you will have to probably walk alot and definately work a little.
I will give you a juicy tidbit every so often. But this one here is pretty juicy!
The First Way to Make Fast Free and Easy Money
1. Autographs. Okay, so you're probably thinking how can I do this? How will this get me the much needed dinero for that ski trip/surf board/rent? Well let me tell you how....one day, as I was walking home from yet another endless day of interviewing for that ever evasive writing/acting/designer job...I noticed all of these people standing outside of the theatres near broadway...scads of them. I quicly joined one of the lines. I didn't know what we were waiting for. All of a sudden the back door opened up and out came the "Star!" People began handing the "Star" pamphlets and programs and napkins, which she would sign. These people had been to the play and were getting the "Star's" autograph. I promptly handed her the receipt from my bus ticket which she signed. I then ran over to another theatre and another and another, following suit. Before I knew it, I'd collected 6 signatures from some of the Hollywood greats who had deigned to star in a broadway show (after their talk show, sitcom, or new program failed).
The next day I found online a listing of places that bought autographs. Some of the autographs were worth as much as 300.00 or more! In two days I earned over 500. I did this just for standing outside a theatre. This can be done all over any major city. But if you do your research you can find who or what is coming to town, and just look like an adoring fan. You may not be a fan, but if you're a fan of free money, this could very well be your ticket.
