Have you ever found yourself at the doctor’s office time
after time reading the same boring magazines? This is a typical scene you most
likely will find yourself in very often.
Well today I found myself at the doctor’s office and before
I went I took a book to read so that I don’t get stuck reading those magazines.
Since I have been to doctor’s offices so many times, I will
list below some tips that will help make the wait go quicker. They have helped
me and I hope they will help you.
First, make sure you go to your appointment on time so that
you don’t have any problems with the receptionist.
Second, you should know without a doubt that you won’t see
the doctor until you sit in the waiting room for a while, so take something
that can keep you entertained such as the following:
You should take a book, it can be any book. Maybe you want
to take a Holy book, a novel, a fiction or non-fiction, a textbook (you know you
have to read those anyways), or a Sudoku book.
If that’s not what you want then, take an MP3 player or an
Ipod to keep yourself entertained.
Even better, you might want to take a handheld game,
especially if you have a child along with you.
If you don’t remember to take anything at all, ten you can
count on your cell phone if you have one. Cell phones have interesting games
and such. However, please don’t use the cell phone to make a call because that
can be very distraction and annoying to the other people in the waiting room.
Also you can bring someone along with you to keep you
company.
If you don’t remember to bring anything until you’re on your
way to the doctor’s office, then stop and buy a newspaper.
If you have nothing with you, then you’ll be stuck with
reading those magazines in the waiting room.
Okay so you’re there on time, you have something to do and
before you know it, the doctor will be calling you to go inside. That’s what
happened to me today. I was so into my book, before I knew it we were called
inside even though we had waited for about an hour. So remember the time is
really going to fly by when you have something to do during the long wait.
