One makeup item, better photos, and most people would never try it. It only costs a few dollars at drugstores. Here is a makeup tip that you don't want to miss.

I am not a model, but there is one makeup secret I know to make my pictures look better. In fact, I never go to a party or event without wearing it. Star Lauren Conrad said she never goes without it. This product can change your picture completely. It's liquid eyeliner, and yes, it is possible to do it and still look classy!

I first recognised this product because of . . . well, jealousy. I had a friend growing up in high school, and she would always look better in pictures than me. We went to a Sears photo studio one day in high school and took a cute picture in matching outfits. Well, when we got the pictures back she looked great and I looked washed out. Same thing happened when we took senior pictures, her picture looked vibrant and mine looked dull. I finally sat down and analyzed what we had done differently, and soon I found the difference: liquid eyeliner.

Liquid eyeliner usually comes in a tiny bottle. The cap usually has a wand or small brush to apply the liner to the top and bottom of your lid near the lashes. CoverGirl and Maybelline both make liquid eyeliners that are very inexpensive. The product is available in shades of black and brown, but I highly recommend brown for everyday wear and photos.

Applying liquid eyeliner is not difficult, but it may take a few practice runs if you're just starting out. Sit as close to a mirror as possible (sit up on the counter if you don't have a standing makeup mirror). Then use the wand in the cap of the bottle and make a small, thin line on your upper lid as close to the lashes as you can. It can help to start with a small dashed line, and then fill in the spaces. Do the same with the bottom lid, but only go as far as your pupil. If you make a smudge, put a cue-tip in a bottle of makeup remover and then carefully erase the smudge away. Make sure to finish with some soft black mascara. Not doing so will make your lashes look white in comparison to the dark liner.

At first it may seem like liquid eyeliner is too heavy of a product. Everyone can wear liquid eyeliner, trust me! However, you may just need to try applying a thinner line or wiping the brush on the side of the tube before applying the liner to your eye. Keep experimenting with it until you get the hang of what looks right on you.

So, next time you're going out, try taking some before and after pictures with liquid liner. Once you have some practice applying it you will find that your photos look much better and your eyes much more defined.
