Most of the population waits until their mid life to have a crisis but this classically trained Las Angeles songbird has decided to start a little sooner on her crisis – a quarter life to be precise.
Growing up Arden Kaywin wanted to be the next Whitney or Mariah. As she grew older she discovered artists like Dave Mathews, Tori Amos, and the Indigo Girls. Arden found that in playing pop music she could break all the rules she learned in her classical music classes. Thus she began living a double life of classical artist by day and pop princess by night.
The original songs that make up Arden’s debut album “Quarter Life Crisis” were all taken from her own experiences. Kaywin is very much like Jewel except Arden plays a piano instead of a guitar. Arden has also seen her work appear on shows on television networks like MTV, ABC, NBC, and the now defunct WB.
Arden Kaywin has a pleasant voice that fans will enjoy hearing, but it is not one of those voices that will stand out on the radio.
