Actor Heath Ledger, 28, was found dead in his apartment today January 22, 2008. He was found naked in his bed with pills strewn across his room, according to New York police. It is not evident whether the death was intentional or accidental but his death is believed to be overdose related. The actor's caretaker called the police when she was unable to wake him for a massage appointment he was missing. Ledger recently finished filming his role as the Joker in this summer's "The Dark Knight." It is believed that his role in the movie will not be affected by these events; no statement has been released, though. A spokesman for Mr. Ledger was not immediately available for a statement. He is survived by two-year-old daughter, Matilda Rose. This is an event in progress and more information is being released as it is discovered. Check back later for further updates.
