I guess my topic today is a little different from all my other topics, but it is something I feel I would like to talk about. I don't watch TV all that often, but last night my stepdad turned on the TV at about 9:00 to watch the 20/20 special. It was on the Natalie Halloway case and how that kid Joran got caught giving specific details about her death. I don't know if anyone saw it, but it was pretty intense.

This one guy went undercover and befriended Joran. He went to a special investigator and offered his services in getting a confession from Joran. There are a couple things I want to go into about those tapes. One, how did someone get that cold blooded and stupid at the same time? He didn't even know if she was dead or not. He had someone dispose of her body for him. He even referred to her as "b...h" and "whore" at times. He said that he wanted to be alone with her so he could just "f...k" her. I honestly don't know how certain people get like this. You can't blame it all on parents anymore. Kids have ways of getting these things into their heads. I mean, he is obviously psychologically damaged somewhere in his brain. That aside, sometimes I would just like to see where this kid started to go wrong. I guess we will never know (unless we are with the higher powers above).

Another thing is that guy who got the confession from him. He was quite the character. I just wonder what his whole motive was in the thing. I can't imagine someone just going up to a suspect and just deciding at that moment that they are going to get a confession from this guy. There has to be something behind that too. Although I believe he is sincere in wanting to catch the guy, I think there was a motive too. I guess it really doesn't matter, because he served his purpose. We can be grateful for that.

I really thought the interview with Natalie's mother was very good. She says she doesn't want revenge, but that his punishment will be in a living hell for the rest of his life. There is something to that. Every bad choice or good choice you make can turn you towards any path. Although we have to come to the conclusion that he is cold blooded then maybe he won't care how everyone looks at him (as long as he is free). It may be sad but true.

Sometimes I wonder how her friends must feel (the ones there with her). I know I would feel guilty for the rest of my life for letting her get in a car drunk with three guys. It is in no way their fault, but I just got to thinking how guilty I would feel. I hope her family and friends find peace. They deserve it.

Hopefully, something will come of these tapes and justice will be served......if not by a judge then by the higher powers above.
