This is a poem I wrote in memory of my Grandson JP who died Thanksgiving 2003.

Little Man

To My Grandson, JP , 07/21/1993 - 11/28/2003

He wasn't really very tall
In fact,he wasn't even big at all
Slight of build, but strong and spry
And oh,the apple of his Nanny's eye
Quite illusive,even intrusive
And always on top of his game
Sometimes on a warm summer evening
I can still hear him calling my name
Nanny come quick,look Nanny,no hands
Nanny,did you see that
I can fly,I'm SUPERMAN
Yes,he was quite the funny little man
With delicate sprigs of reddish hair
And freckles sprinkled everywhere
Cape'd crusader extordnaire
Fighting evil forces, and saving damisals fair
On closing my eyes I am transported
Back to that moment in time
And he is with me still, little JP
That funny little man of mine
