Internet Newbie’s Beware!
I do like to get to the point, so let me start out by telling you that Yes! I am now happy to say “I am an Internet Marketer”. However, I did not always feel this way. I made some very costly mistakes when first starting out which is the purpose for this article. If I can help anyone else avoid them, then all my trial and errors were well worth it. I simply want you to know more of what you are getting into than I first did. It is enjoyable, and certainly has many advantages, but the sales letters are so powerful! This is where you really need to be careful and proceed with caution…
Want to make money online the fast and easy way? This is what the so called gurus ask you; not only that but, make money over night, while you sleep, works on auto pilot, it’s a miracle! Blah, blah, blah. Now let’s think about this for a moment. If you could make thousands of dollars (or even hundreds) on auto pilot fast and easy, wouldn‘t everyone be doing it? Of course they would! Internet Marketing is a beast full of lies. There is some truth, only in small amounts and scattered about here and there. There are literally thousands of products to choose from, and most are not worth all they hype they are selling. They all claim to be the best and now they only wish to help others be just like them.
All they ask for in return is money. Here is where you need to be very careful. Some will charge thousands, others only hundreds while convincing you that you need their service in order to make money. They claim you will make thousands of dollars within months, days, weeks… only they cannot guarantee this, or refund your money. Products are all guaranteed, (though you should still use caution) but not coaching sessions. I have heard some of the most heart breaking stories from these scams. Make sure you do a thorough search on anyone before paying large amounts of money to them. If you only listen to me on one thing, let it be that.
I refer to this as my new form of gambling. Yes, you can get hooked on this just like any other addiction. I should know. I have ordered tons of products, visited seminars, went to workshops, attended webinars, teleconferences, you name it. And finally, I GET IT! I now know what all it entails to be successful at internet marketing. Whew!
So why couldn’t any of those sales letters just tell the truth? Maybe that would turn people off right away. It is a lot of work, but I actually LOVE it! I always enjoyed writing, and I feel this provides me with so many outlets for that, and it has been a great learning experience. It’s also a great way to release my creative energy. I am now positively convinced that all this work really will pay off.
I am making some money right now, but it did take time. Sales ads never tell you this, and the money I am making is nowhere near what I expected. I mean every time I bought a product, they all guaranteed that I would be making thousands of dollars over night. Many people leave their jobs because of their belief in that! They also fail to mention your advertising cost. And easy. I lost count on how many times I heard that. It is pretty simple, but not necessarily easy to do. You should also know that it takes time. Yes, this is worth repeating. I was feeling like a failure because of this. Now I realize it is not just me, but for everyone. I do have computer skills, and still I would not say “this is easy”! Especially in the beginning, “frustrating” would be more like it.
This is why I set up The Scammer Alert. I began thinking, “what if I could start all over?” knowing then what I now know. I would have saved a lot of time and money for sure! However, this is where all my trial and error really can help you. I have found some products that really are truly amazing. Believe ME! I have been thru them all or just about, and now I can offer you my reviews and ratings on the ones I found to be most helpful no matter what stage of internet marketing you are in.
