Well, that was a bit nerve wracking, but as you can see the site has a new look and new features.I hope everyone like what we did with the place.

Content is now visible on the homepage. We broke it up into three categories: Featured, Latest, and Popular. The Latest and Popular sections update automatically. Featured content is chosen by staff members, but if you put in a plea to have one of your stories featured, we will most likely oblige.

I wanted to say one thing about featured articles. I tend to look for the following when choosing which articles I, personally, feature.

I no certain order:

1. Level of Writing
2. Originality
3. Mass Appeal
4. Included Media (i.e. pictures, tables, graphs, etc.)
5. Temporal Prominence

Obviously, the more time you've put into a piece, the more of a chance it has to be featured. A great cheat around that is number 5. If you are pumping out breaking news, then I will generally try to feature your article if our queue allows it.
