Digg.com is a site that every freelance writer and blogger should implement. Aside from being an all-around great site, with a great community, Digg provides an excellent service to writers. What service? Indexing. Yes, indexing. Incase you’re not familiar with that term, “indexing” is when a search engine adds a URL to its database.
Every article or blog you publish on SpeakAboutIt.com, or any other site, has a unique URL. This URL is the link that appears in Google when someone searches for a keyword in your article. Not only will a link to your article submitted through Digg show up in search engines faster than the direct URL, it will usually appear higher in the search results, as well.
If you want your articles to show up in Google quickly and at a high position, Digging them is the way to do it. The next time you post an article, submit the link to Digg, then search Google for the name of your article in quotes. The Digg link will almost always appear before the direct link. Try it. If you don’t have a Digg account, sign up for one by clicking the “Digg” button at the top of this article.
