I don't watch television, to make matters worse I live in Mexico where newspapers are hard to come by so I am depended on my computer for what is happening in the world outside mine.

Today I read about one man who is suspected of killing his wife and his three daughters, another who poisoned his wife and then Bobby Cutts Jr found guilty of the murder of not only his girlfriend but of their unborn child.

This man has fathered a child when he was in University, then he marries and fathers another, and while married gets himself a girlfriend and fathers her child. Apparently she was carrying his second child. They were fighting because he didn't want to pay child support. Or so the story goes.

This man kills his girlfriend, his unborn child, says he didn't mean it, cries and said please don't execute me.

He is 26 years old, what a sad waste of life, for the next 50 some odd years he will reside in prison, now you tell me, what are the changes of him getting out reformed, ready to contribute to this world.

What about those children, there are three babies who will be touched by this madness for the rest of their lives.

Yes my Daddy killed his girlfriend and my half sister, my god. Those little ones have a hard road to travel.

What are we doing as a society that we raise a man to be so selfish, to care so little about the life he brings into this world, to think only of himself. I just find it so hard to understand.

There is a man here in Mexico, a poor man who will never be rich, a Gardner, Jose works 3 different jobs, 7 days a week, because he has his elderly parents to care for and 2 of his brothers have died leaving 2 widows and here 8 children, Jose has taken this responsibly to his heart. How many would do this, no where is it written he needs to give up his life for his family but willing everyday off to works he goes. I have a great deal of respect for this man so I honor him with a simple addition to his name. I call him Don Jose.

Somewhere Bobby Cutts Jr lost or maybe never had any true self respect, no honor, no strong sense of what is truly expected of a man. Never in his life will someone honor him with the name Don. 

I was once asked why I would use the name Don for a humble gardener, I said learn to see with more than just your eyes, there are great men walking amoung us everyday, we need to honor those men, when we do we teach others about respect,  maybe the others will then strive to achieve the same respect.
