Are you looking for a way to burn all of your favorite movies, TV shows, and home videos to a DVD that will play on your DVD player, but you only have AVI files? I’m going to tell you the easiest way to do this. You don’t have to downlaod anything, you don’t have to buy anything, and you don’t have to be a computer wiz.
If you own a computer with Windows, then you have Windows Movie Maker already installed on your computer. Windows Movie Maker will burn any AVI file to a DVD that will play on a normal DVD player. There’s no reason to purchase expensive DVD burning/converting software to do this. You already have the software you need!
Step 1
Open Windows Movie Maker and import the AVI file you want to burn.
Step 2
Drag the file into the “timeline” at the bottom of the screen.
Step 3
Go to the “Finish Movie” menu and click on “Save to DVD.”
In three simple steps you just turned your AVI file into a DVD that will play on any DVD player! Here’s one last tip: Windows Movie Maker will only allow you to make DVD’s shorter than 60 minutes. If the TV show or movie you’re trying to burn is longer than 60 minutes, just split it up into two parts.
If you're a Mac user, try this trick with iMovie.
