George Carlin, America's risque comedian has died (June 22nd 2008). It was recently announced that George would, on November 10th, receive this years mark Twain prize for American humor.
This was quite something for a comedian who had already been in trouble for his ‘Flithy Words' routine and shook the the powers that be by pushing censorship to the limit.
Past winners of this prestigious award are such famous names as Richard Prior, Whoopi Goldberg and Steve Martin.
Carlin did a lot to fight censorship on American TV and radio and will be much missed by his fans.
